Founded by a small group of local BMW enthusiasts in 2016, the Surrey and Sussex BMW Owners Club has grown into a thriving community of over 1300 members (as of Spring 2025). We are united by a love of all things BMW, from vintage classics to modern M cars.

Drives a BMW E46 Compact and has owned BMWs for years, including E21 316, E28 M535i, E46 330ci and E34 530i. I’m based in Guildford. My father started a motor factor in the late ’70s, specialising in parts for all German cars. After 22 years, it changed ownership, but I’m happy to say it’s still going today. I love German engineering; my earliest family memory of BMWs being an Inca Orange 2002tii. I love other classic cars, rock music, and I also host weekly pub quiz nights. Having helped to manage the (independent) Surrey BMW Owners Club since 2017, I then merged that with and co-founded the current club with Nigel in 2024. Seeing all the work we put in as a team being appreciated is one of the best feelings. I look forward to meeting you at a monthly meeting or event soon!

Drives an E23 728i and has owned several BMWs over the years, from E3 3.0 Si to E39 540i. Started working life as an apprentice with BMW when they were all sharknose and has had a passion for them ever since. Plenty of club experience over the years, having jointly run the Sussex area for Lancia Motor Club in the late 80s / early 90s to being regional chair SE region for BMW Car Club GB. Taking up the challenge of co-running an independent club has been a very enjoyable ride. There’s nothing more satisfying than standing back, looking over a big event you’ve started from scratch and watching everyone having a great time, thinking ‘this is exactly why I do this!’

A BMW enthusiast for over a decade, she’s owned and worked on E30s , including building her current one herself. Passionate about driving, travel and the BMW scene, she regularly takes her car across Europe for shows and road trips, including the legendary Nürburgring.

Drives an E34 535i and a 2-series Coupe. Loves football, and I'm lucky enough to own 2 BMWs, one that's more of a retro classic, I suppose, and the other is more contemporary. If you know me already, you'll also know I love a chat. So please introduce yourself at a meet up or event.

I drive an E82 N54 135i 2010. My passion for BMWs started when a family member took me to pick up their brand new E21 323, from then I was hooked. I have been in the Retail industry for over 25 years and now look after tier one brands across retail stores and supplying branded merchandise as well as print collateral. I love meeting new people, I love how cars unite people. I look forward to meeting you at a meet or show soon

Drives a BMW 1991 E30 cab and owns a 1975 2002 project car in the making.
My first company car in 1997 was a brand new E36 318is with every conceivable extra I could spec. This was the inception of my love for everything Bavarian Motor Works - and in the wider context most things German with four and two wheels.
I appreciate everything architectural from the classic to the contemporary. I love to travel, I enjoy great food and appreciate my family and friends.
Our club is run entirely by volunteers, so every donation helps. Your support goes directly towards covering essential administration costs and keeping things running smoothly. Thank you!

Currently, there is no fee to join the club. We may introduce an optional annual membership later as the club grows but we always put the members first and will avoid fees for as long as we can.
We do both. Some events are organised by the club and others are national shows we attend together.
No. We are an independent group run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. We are not affiliated with the official BMW Owners Club or any BMW AG group company.
While most members own BMWs, anyone with a genuine interest in the brand is welcome. We encourage owners of any BMW vehicle - cars, motorbikes or BMW-engined specials to take part in our club.
